Nosco, the leading provider of healthcare printed packing solutions in North America, recently presented at the CosmoProf trade show in Las Vegas. The decision to showcase at the personal care event demonstrates the company’s commitment to expand into this rapidly growing market. A recent report from Lucintel found the global beauty care market will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 3.4 percent, reaching $265 billion in 2017.
Because the CosmoProf show is the best international showcase of new and innovative products in the personal care arena, it was the right choice for Nosco’s initial step into the marketplace. The show attracted more than 27,000 visitors from all over the world with 992 booths at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
Customers were immediately attracted by Nosco’s colorful booth and noted how it “popped,” which was precisely the goal! Passersbys were drawn to the booth, but once inside, there was no question about the quality of the products or the company’s expertise in packaging. Overall, Nosco was able to draw in more than 100 new leads, with several large prospects, including La Palm Product, Sephora, The Footnanny and Paul Mitchell.
Nosco’s market research determined a significant need for multipanel labels and digital cartons in the Personal Care market, and this was validated by the experience at the show. Like many markets, companies in this industry are looking for cost-effective solutions for short runs to accommodate the proliferation of sku’s, a goal easily achieved with digital printing. In addition, the level of regulatory requirements creates a need for personal care companies to expand their copy space, while still using the same packaging size.
“Nosco has the broadest and newest portfolio of performance enhancing multipanel labels in the industry,” said Craig Wilson, packaging advisor at Nosco.
Nosco will continue to focus on Personal Care targets, along with Natural Health, as growing markets for printed packaging in the Healthcare space. The needs of cosmetic companies are complementary to the ones Nosco already serves in the Healthcare market. Because Nosco is accustomed to working with high quality markets and requirements, providing digital packaging for personal care companies is a logical next step.
In addition, as companies continue looking for ways to cut costs, Nosco’s digital printing capabilities are becoming increasingly attractive options. Digital printing provides companies’ cost-effective short runs, while cutting lead-time by 50%.
