Transfer of Carrollton, Texas Production Assets to Pleasant Prairie, WI

July 09, 2024

Written by Dick Leach, Vice President of Quality

On April 4, 2024, Nosco announced the strategic consolidation of its Carrollton, Texas facility into our Packaging Innovation Center and headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This move capitalizes on our expanded Wisconsin facility space, which grew to 271,000 square feet in 2022, allowing us to seamlessly integrate Nosco’s flexo label and insert production assets from Texas. This consolidation enhances our ability to deliver efficient workflows, technical support and quality assurance under one roof, optimizing our resources to effectively meet customer demand. Key benefits of this facility consolidation include:

  • Improved operational efficiency and streamlined workflows
  • Enhanced customer support capabilities and responsiveness
  • Cost savings potential through centralized operations and resource utilization

To ensure minimal disruption and maintain uninterrupted service to customers, Nosco initiated several proactive measures:

  • Formal notification to impacted customers on April 4, 2024, outlining the transition plan
  • Capacity management during the relocation process to meet production and delivery commitments
  • Continuation of harmonized quality management systems and alternate site approvals with customers for label manufacturing
  • Use of validated production assets and raw material suppliers in compliance with customer specifications

For many Nosco customers, the Packaging Innovation Center has already been approved as an alternate label manufacturing site to support business continuity with site redundancy. If this is not the case for your business, Nosco’s Quality Assurance team has developed a strategy to support an expedited approval process, including the use of our online document portal and group virtual audits.

This consolidation marks a strategic step in Nosco’s growth trajectory, aligning with our vision to enhance operational efficiency and customer service excellence. Looking ahead, Nosco remains committed to continuous improvement and innovation in printed packaging solutions, ensuring we meet evolving customer needs and industry standards.
